EXPERIENCE INDONESIA
I write this from Indonesian's eyes for everyone who want to know Indonesia.
Indonesia is one of south east Asia country as we called is ASEAN. Position Indonesia exactly in Greenwich Khatulistiwa so our country has beautiful sun shine everyday. We just have two season : summer and raining. We don't have fall or spring or winter aka snow. So, you can come and enjoy Indonesia everyday, every year.
But we still have more crowded in :
New year, Lebaran/Idul Fitri/Aidil Fitri, Holiday School (June).
The crowded seems more disturbing because we have 250 million people in here and almost 50 percent have moving one to another place for spent their holiday. So, i think its not convenient for foreign tourist spent your holiday in Indonesia especially Idul fitri.
We have eastern culture so sometimes if you want to visit temple or mosque or church or pura, you are not allowed to naked. You must wear properly costumes. Except that, its oke for wear casual ones. But there is one city in Indonesia where you should not be wearing clothes carelessly. Namely Aceh. Because there was a rule that implements Islamic law so you should wear protective clothing to respect the rules of Islam there.
If you come to Indonesia, prepare yourself to everything even if bad ones. Sometimes (not usually) officer with uniform or something like that want your money illegaly. They just randomly pick a person. So, i suggest you to read carefully my country's law special permission visiting for foreign. Or if you have friend in Indonesia, you can ask them to pick up or help you in Airport. They're (bad officer) not always doing this in airport. A lot of foreign come to Indonesia with peacefully. But sometimes i've heard in news also my foreign friend, the bad officer asking money illegaly. I don't like Indonesia has bad reputation so i already report it. But randomly bad officer still exist.
The bad officer is just bad person in uniform and broke Indonesia's good name. Not usually, just random. So be careful. If you have completed document, all you have to do is rejecting for spent money illegaly. Here is simple suggestion.
-before you go to Indonesia, read carefully for terms and condition visiting Indonesia for foreign tourist.
-you must have and prepared for completed document.
-do not give your passport to stranger. Do not easily give your passport to the officer with bullshit reason/unreasonable if you don't have wrong.
-do not bring narcotics, forbidden medicine, and forbidden things against law in Indonesia. Because they will punish you with death penalty.
-if some people ask your money illegaly, remember to ask their name, ID, and number registration of their ID.
-do not go in silent place. Go in crowded more safely.
-self confidence. Do not throw doubt face or scared face. Just self confidence of yours.

We still fix everyday for government, law, etc.
We also have more criminality news especially in big city such as Jakarta and also another city. So, be careful and still do not walk away from crowd. Its more safely. Plus if you must go in midnight, do not walk alone.
Maybe Jakarta is more extreme with criminality than other city. Because its Capital of Indonesia. If you want to ride Taxi, please make sure that your taxi is Bluebird brand (not every taxi with blue color is BlueBird). Because the other taxi, sometimes they just criminal who set up the tourist.

I hope you are not doubt to visit Indonesia after read this. Indonesia still more beautiful to visit and enjoy. Do not small bad news broken your dream to visit it. I'm also traveler. And i know how hard is read something like this or even if visiting country that give me bad respond. I will make it simple to you, if you have dream, you must have courage to make it comes true !
